Ibis London Excel

On Saturday 27th June 2009 my wife Jean and I travelled by car to the Neil Young concert at Hyde Park. We had bought the tickets many months previous and in the days leading up to the event decided to make a weekend of it. I managed to book an overnight stay at the Ibis hotel close to the Excel Center in the Dockland area. The staff at the Ibis hotel were very helpful. They were aware that we were travelling very early in the day, from Derby, and allowed us to check in to our room earlier than usuual to freshen up, and park our car, before travelling, via the Docklands rail network, to Hyde Park. The concert was brilliant.We had a great time and got back to our room very tired. The room had all the usual facilities. It was very clean. The Ibis hotel staff were extremely helpful throughout our brief stay and we would have no difficulty in recommending it for any one contemplating a weekend trip to London.

Easy to find off North Circular and good development of a redundant dock area. Well placed for DLR into Central London. Will come again.

went to see a famous pastor from Nigeria. The next day went to London Eye I think the breakfast finished too soon? Anyway we did not have any. Regards,

we did the typical tourist route this time in london and really enjoyed it. I think london has cleaned its self up from a few years ago and is now a pleasant city to visit. the hotel was very well placed and very easy to travel into the centre. Everyone must get a day rover ticket, for as little as 5.50GBP for 24 hours this allows you to travel on the tube, buses and cheap travel on the boats.
